She's off the needles, blocked, and wearable! I wanted to add some lazy daisy flowers across the front with the contrast color....and I probably still will. I'll also tack the little triangles together so they move as one unit and don't get scrunched up under her little arms. But for now? I'm calling this one finished.
I added some elastic at the back because it was very loose, and threw the buttons on with a crochet loop for a button hole. This was a relatively quick and very satisfying knit. It's based on this pattern, and I added some 'climbing leaves' lace to give me a break from the stockinette. Also, I knit it in the round. I'm happy with the end product, and Maddy is chuffed to wear her "shi(r)t". She even twirls in it! :)
Now I'm already planning the next project. Who am I kidding - projectS!






Looks like somebody found her knitting mojo! Looks great. I love the idea of some embroidered daisies on the front to complement the buttons.
